The Beaver Creek Bass Ukulele Let me just start by stating that I am not a bass player. I just use it occasionally to add to some of my recordings. I have also never reviewed a musical instrument before. Please be kind, though any and all comments are welcome. Stats: – laminate spruce top – arched back – 22 inch scale length – Shadow passive pickup – around $300 Pros: – compact size without sacrificing bass sound – great volume unplugged – comes with gig-bag – well constructed, excellent finish – action is good Cons: – comfort – slides off lap while sitting, top heavy while standing – tuning is very touchy – intonation slightly off – gig-bag not padded – frets need filing – easy to bend notes Conclusion: – great for ukulele ensemble or kitchen party Contest Rules: – no prizes, just bragging rights – leave a comment with the number of your song choice followed by your guess – one song per person – if you’re super-keen and want to guess all six, send me a PM
