“The Test” (with ukulele): an IANTM original!

Ok, this is just too clever. The song is called “The Test,” right? And the video I use so poignantly is taken from Adrien Mondat’s screen TEST of a video plug-in he developed! Check him out at: www.adrienm.net Well, at least the song is mine as is the ukulele. I didn’t realize how…really small…a soprano uke is. I think I need to upgrade to Tenor. The amazing visual effect in this video comes from “timeRemapExportHD” by Adrien Mondot at: www.vimeo.com Well I tried my best to fight the loneliness But I might as well fight a train ‘Cause when I look around at the other girls The girls all look the same Well you know it’s true There’s only one you All the others are second best All I can do is dream of you The others don’t pass the test

Original Ukulele – “Repent”

It’s a Friday Night and I am extremely bored and still am not sure why my video’s lag and the sound is scratchy. This is an original song, I know it’s kind of odd sounding for a ukulele because ukulele songs are happy and this one’s kinda sad but if you listen you might be in the mood for it. Lyrics/Chords* INTRO: E/B7/C/Bm7 CE Haven’t been feeling quite up to par Bm7 C6 I’ve been bearing all this weight walking distances so far All of my friend’s they’ve all seemed to flea And I’ll tell them “My friends…This is how I’ll always be.” It can’t be handled, no not anymore If there is one thing I could change it’d be locking my door I’m in debt with dues and you could call me a fool Because it’s so unnecessary and this is, all out of control control, control. La da da da da da Guess lately everybody’s noticed I’ve been selfish, Doing stupid things and screwing up. And not even just one wish can change it all, for the better of us.. Because I’m stubborn, And you are too, I wish that we could change the things we put each other through Saying sorry when it wasn’t meant I just can’t take it when your angry so I’ll Lie, I’ll Lie and repent, Repent, Repent. La da da da da da I want you to know, That things will get better I am trying to change although. I want you to know, That I truly do love you, and I don’t want you to go.

Don’t Fall In Love With Gypsy Blood (original ukulele song)

This song was just listed under a music publisher’s blog, although he may change what’s listed after several days: www.pik-ware.com My video is found by clicking on ‘blog’ at the top of of Pik-Ware’s webpage. A friend just sent me a ukulele….I’ve fallen in love with this instrument. Thanks so much to this friend….you have opened up a whole new world for me. :) I wrote this song several years back, and I thought I’d pair it with the ukelele sound. Hope you folks enjoy it. This is one of my storytelling songs. My laptop has been acting up a bit, so my vid is a tad out of sync with my voice, but hopefully, nothing too annoying. :) Don’t Fall In Love With Gypsy Blood copyright 2007 on the song copyright 2010 on the video Verse 1 Grandmother was a gypsy She came from the old country Granddaddy hailed from Georgia He was one quarter Cherokee And she left him with a couple of kids She was longing to breathe free And I remember the words to a song That he always sang to me Chorus: Oh don’t give yourself To a gypsy gal You’ll be left out in the cold Coz that gypsy part Drives the heart And burns a wandering In the soul You better watch out For those dark brown eyes Shining like stars In the heavens above I’m telling you, don’t fall in love With gypsy blood Verse Well, I guess I got my granny’s ways I never stay in one place long I move on where ever I go Whether it’s right or wrong And you say that you love me But I got to travel on And I leave you with the words To an old
