I got a new ukulele. This is the first of other ukulele songs to come… I heard this song in the movie WALL-E. Louis Armstrong covered it, and it relaxes me. My EP is still available to buy on itunes (search under “joy rachelle”) for under $4. Buy one and make me very happy. The song was originally written by Edith Piaf and Louis Gugliemi, then translated into English by Mack David.

Numerous events led up to me doing this song today: 1. It was snowing this morning(like it has been for, what feels like, the last 15 years…) 2. I couldn’t find any of my hats, so I grabbed one of my husband’s. 3. Because of the snow, I arrived later than usual…right when the students were getting to school. 4. A group of about 10 of my kids were walking in with me, when one of them said – “Mrs. H, you look like a suburban gangsta in that outfit”. 5. What do they know? They’re just stupid kids!….and they were right. Presenting the whitest girl rap known to man.
