Should I get a ukulele or stick with a guitar?

I’ve been teaching myself how to play a classical guitar with a book for about a week now. Should I stick with it and learn more notes or should I learn the ukulele. It has four strings and it is smaller, so I think learning a ukulele will be better because this is my first stringed instrument. What do you think?

Stay with the guitar because it will be easier when you make the transition to the ukulele.
well…i play guitar. Have for years. But…yes you can certainly try both. Ive always wanted a ukelele.
Dunno much about books and whatnot cuz i had to learn guitar on my own. But it was great and was worth the effort. I cant read music. Dont want to. But yea Im always encouraging of others to try different musical things. Right on.
A ukulele. It is fun plus it is unique compared to a guitar which is commonly played. You may visit http://ukulelehunt.com/ and learn there all the things you want and need to learn regarding the ukulele.
Dude… this is the sort of thing you don’t ask other people. Which do you want to play the most? Why do you want to play? Do you already have a ukulele you can try or would you have to go out and buy one? Would the cost of a ukulele make much of difference to you? You can learn to “sound good” on the ukulele much, much faster than on the guitar, but it’s inherently more limited. Then again, I’ve seen some crazy ukulele players…
Victor,
A lot of people started on a ukulele and switched to guitar. You can learn chording, struming, picking, etc.
I played the guitar in my younger years and started playing the ukulele about four years ago. I like the ukulele more. It doesn’t have the range a guitar has but I play rock, country, blues, jazz, etc. And, it’s a lot easier b/c it has only four strings. And if you want more range you can switch the G string for a low G.
