How easy is it to learn to play plectrum banjo if you know how to play ukulele?

I play ukulele and I want to take up banjo. I was thinking of plectrum banjo because it only has 4 strings like the ukulele, but do you think this would make it easier for me to learn?

    Leigh,
    Buy yourself a Banjolele. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banjo_ukulele
I have two and they’re great. Especially when played in our club. Adds a little spice to the regular ukulele sound. I don’t have to learn new chords, get adjusted to metal strings, and they sound just like a banjo.
Here’s one site that sells them but you can search “banjolele” and find others. Also, check Ebay or Craigslist.

Every ukulele player should have one.
    Have fun,
