I am new to playing the ukulele and the book I have on how to learn it isn’t quite clear on a few things. The D7 is confusing to me, along with the D chord. If someone could please help me that would be lovely

I don’t play the ukulele, but I found a chord chart online, so hopefully that helps clear the confusion from your book. Here’s the link: http://nfo.net/usa/uke2.html
Here is another chord chart that shows which fingers to use, as well as some alternative choices for playing certain chords. This one has alternative to both the D & D7 chords you are having trouble with, perhaps this chart might benefit you the most: http://www.kiwiukulele.co.nz/Kiwi-Ukulele-Chord-Chart.pdf
Good luck!
