Slavonic Folk Suite – Cathedral Chorus Ukulele

The ukulele is out of tune, tired and put through it. I recorded this in one take, 2 tracks only. Maybe I’ll post a polished version at some point, but I only had 45 minutes for lunch. Adapted from Alfred Reed’s “Russian Christmas Music”, this short piece has been the Vidor High School spirit song for decades. The piece was first introduced to the school’s band by Charles R. Smith, who directed the band for more than 30 years.
